Dry eye is not a single disease but a clinical picture with many causes. Treatment is tailored to the underlying cause:

• Artificial tears and gel formulations
• Punctal plugs (lacrimal canal occluders)
• Anti-inflammatory drops
• Warm compresses and LipiFlow-type therapies for meibomian gland dysfunction
• Lifestyle adjustments — screen use, nutrition, room humidity
